Recirculation units for kitchens in high demand

Recirculation units for kitchens in high demand

New Recirculation Unit for Commercial Kitchens, the CK ReCirc™

The demand for these recirculation units is always growing, as more unusual and restricted spaces are being optimised by catering business owners. Recirculating will allow such kitchen professionals to take advantage of existing spaces without the high cost and practical implications that would apply to retrofitting permanent equipment like exhaust hood fans and ductwork, which filter airborne grease and smoke out into the atmosphere.

CK Direct’s ReCirc™ is a self-contained kitchen ventilation unit with environmental design considerations that also eliminate major risks to the kitchen, such as ductwork fire hazards. Multiple stages of inventive filtration within the unit remove grease, particulate, smoke and odour before re-introducing cleaner air to the kitchen – The unit therefore, needs no direct duct connection to the atmosphere.

Let’s revolutionise your commercial kitchen

Be sure to learn more about the recirculation unit for commercial kitchens and other new products in the range by calling a member of the CK Direct team on 01733 230378

Customers can also discuss with our experts their specific commercial kitchen requirements, whether it be for ventilation and extraction systems, fabricated stainless steel equipment or the most advanced odour control solutions available to the UK market. CK Direct are your trusted supplier, applying exceptional standards to the build of exceptional kitchens.

iKitchen: Open up new horizons with RATIONAL

Following last year’s successful Tomorrow’s Kitchen concept and events, Rational is launching iKitchen. The new venture is an evolution of Rational’s total thermal cooking solution concept combined with their ConnectedCooking digital technology. Connected cooking networks the Rational appliances into a smart kitchen, with remote control, service maintenance, recipe sharing and automatic software downloads.

Costly and space-inefficient kitchen equipment is a relic of the past. The multi functional combination of the SelfCookingCenter and VarioCookingCenter provides consistent high quality results, on a compact footprint. ConnectedCooking networks these appliances into a smart kitchen delivering a complete and reliable solution, allowing operators to respond to any kitchen situation. Providing increased flexibility in the kitchen, whilst saving money, time, space and energy.

‘iKitchen’ is the system solution consisting of the SelfCookingCenter, VarioCookingCenter and ConnectedCooking, which adapts to the size of a kitchen and making it more productive. The two cooking systems complement each other in their cooking methods, sharing some of the workload and therefore are flexible in their use. With ConnectedCooking, Rational’s networking solution, the kitchen turns digital, managing and transferring cooking programs, accessing HACCP data and much more via PC, tablet or mobile.

Operators and chefs are invited to attend iKitchen events. A Rational chef will cook using a combi oven, the SelfCookingCenter, alongside the VarioCookingCenter. They will show how, in tandem, the two appliances provide flexibility, high volumes of food with consistently high quality results from a compact footprint, and how being networked with ConnectedCooking will deliver all the cooking processes that a modern kitchen requires.

Adam Knights is marketing director at Rational. “The events demonstrate how connected modern multi functional appliances deliver a complete and reliable solution, allowing a food service operation to respond any kitchen situation,” he says. “ We will show how the latest cooking technology brings benefits to every part of the catering industry, the flexibility of multi functional appliances means caterers can future-proof their kitchen, making it easy to adapt to changing menus.”

Each iKitchen event will showcase how by being connected provides increased flexibility in the kitchen and a truly sustainable, environmentally aware kitchen solution that protects the future, saving energy, reducing food wastage and increasing productivity.

There are six iKitchen events, running from May to November. They are free to attend, however places are limited, so it’s wise to book early. They are:

Water Hardness Causing Issues for your Foodservice or Hospitality Business?

Water Hardness Causing Issues for your Foodservice or Hospitality Business?

New Online Water Hardness Checker Can Help

As many businesses operating in the foodservice, catering and hospitality industries will know, water hardness can be a factor in the performance of water-fed equipment. ‘Hard’ water can negatively affect coffee machines, dish washers and washing machines amongst other appliances by causing limescale which reduces efficiency and can shorten the life of the machine.

ceda Silver Partners Aqua Cure are happy to announce the launch of a new tool that allows people to check the water hardness of their mains’ supply according to their postcode. The UK Postcode Hard Water Checker  uses nationwide data on water hardness to provide detail on the level of water hardness in that area, identify potential issues caused by the water and suggest some potential solutions to the problem.

The Managing Director of Aqua Cure David Parkes commented on the newly launched postcode checker:

We wanted to create something useful for people to gain relevant information about their home. We have vast knowledge of the water industry and we wanted to pass on our experience in an easy to use, simple way”.
