We wish to attend and feel that we could benefit from either those who’ve done it before (i.e. which is the best hotel, best days to visit etc.,) so would appreciate any advice or recommendations from the membership.

  1. Good exhibition but only really commercially worthwhile if you are looking at importing directly and want to make the right connections. It is HUGE though, about 5 times the size of Hotelympia.  So either allow a few days or select what you are interested in before you go.  For instance they have an entire Hall just for coffee machines and equipment, another Hall for Ice Cream Equipment and another Hall for slicing machines etc!Held at Rho Fiera Milano and there are plenty of hotels nearby, but I prefer to stay in centre of Milan (more to do at night or if you want a day sight seeing) and just get the Metro Undergound there each day, which takes about 30 ins and costs just a few Euros.Hope this helps.
  2. I have attended several times and I would advise that the member spends at least two full days at the exhibition in order to do it justice and they will be amazed at the number of Meat Slices that they see, seriously this is an exhibition that should be visited by everyone in the industry at least once. It is an opportunity to compare all makes and brands in one place and absolutely dwarfs anything in the UK.We will be staying at:UNA Hotel Scandinavia
    Via Fauché, 15 – 20154 –

It is quite local to the Metro and just one change to the exhibition.
