Technical Guidance Document #004

Whilst NICEIC is highly respected and the UK’s leading voluntary regulatory body for the electrical contracting industry, covering most aspects of electrical work undertaken in all types of premises from domestic dwellings to large industrial complexes, it focuses on ensuring competence of electrical contractors primarily involved in electrical installation work.  It is generally considered within the catering equipment industry that NICEIC registration is not relevant to catering equipment engineers and indeed we have evidence from our membership that NICEIC will not consider them for registration as they do not do full electrical installations.

Prepared May 2013 / Revised Sept 2019 / Re-branded June 2020
