JOB VACANCY – COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (TECHNICAL)
ceda are looking to recruit a technical catering equipment specialist to head up our Industry-leading technical support division, working with and alongside our established Technical Support Group.
About ceda
The Catering Equipment Distributors Association (ceda) is an Industry Association of companies, an Industry Community of people and UK representative body for the Catering Equipment sector.
We provide service, support and solution to our Members to ensure that they are best positioned to deliver outstanding products, projects, services and service to their operator customers.
About The Role
This is a wide-ranging and exciting role that will help to support, guide and shape the Industry now and in the future.
The role is a full-time position, will involve hybrid working and some UK travel is involved.
The salary range is £50k-£60k plus business performance related bonus and benefits.
Key tasks include;
- Representation – we are at the heart of regulatory and legislative bodies and committees that impact our sector.
- Taking an active, leading role in ensuring that our sectors voice is heard and is an influential one.
- Developing existing, and creating new, relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Technical Support – our Members rely on ceda to provide answers and solutions to their everyday challenges.
- Handling day-to-day technical questions and queries from Members to ensure that they are operating safely, efficiently and effectively overseeing the research and development of Guidance documentation to supplement our existing library of resources.
- Administer our Technical Support Group, made up of representatives from across our community who discuss and agree work and actions to be undertaken.
- Membership Services – we provide a number of services that allow our Members to stand apart from the rest of the Industry. The administration of current services and the research and development of new services will be a part of this role
- Training – ceda is looking to formalise our technical training provision and a significant part of the role will be to create and deliver outstanding training opportunities for technicians and service companies

- Be organised, professional and a good communicator
- Possess the ability to work both individually and as part of a dynamic team
- Have a strong knowledge and understanding of the technical aspects of commercial kitchens and catering equipment
- Be a creative thinker, flexible and adaptable
- Effectively manage and prioritise a varied workload
- Have a passion and energy to positively impact and shape the Industry
