ceda creates new training videos addressing electrical safety issues

ceda’s Technical Support Group has produced two new training videos, in conjunction with NAPIT, covering electrical safety issues for foodservice equipment technicians.

Working with the help of NAPIT (National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers), one of the leading bodies promoting safe working in the electrical industry, the videos expand ceda’s guidance to members and their engineers on good practice for safe electrical working on new equipment installations or when providing service work at existing customer locations.

The ceda Technical Support Group has been researching the best way to address these important training issues for some time and made the decision to produce the guidance videos after teaming up with NAPIT following Steve Humphreys’s, NAPIT’s Technical Commercial Manager, presentation at a recent ceda technical meeting.

Peter Kay, ceda’s Technical Support Advisor commented “Steve’s clear, down to earth style of presentation was perfect for the video and we were delighted when he agreed to help us. We hope this information will be viewed by all engineers working in our sector and that this will boost their knowledge of safe working practices.”

The two videos which were filmed at the training premises of PartsTown UK are aimed specifically at foodservice equipment technicians. The topics covered are Safe Isolation and Earth Continuity Testing.

The videos are available to view on the ceda YouTube channel using the links below:
