Personal Bio:

My name is Matthew Pearson and for 11 years I’ve helped rebrand Mitchell & Cooper’s Bonzer categories; can openers, portioners, cup dispensers and barware. Opening and repeat sales have been achieved with many large high street and international chains plus all the main Dealers needed training to bring them into the sales strategy. From our manufactured lines we also built up an End User and Distributor sales platform for brands like Burnguard in the US, Nemox gelato machines from Italy, Matfer Bourgeat and many others. I’ve worked with a consortia, Distributor (Alliance National in National Accounts) and two manufacturers (one very large, Arc International, as their UK Contracts Manager and then for UK manufacturer M&C). I am based off Junction 11 of the M25.

Summary:

I’m an experienced sales & account manager. At Pelican Buying I managed their British Institute of Innkeeping account plus others estates like Brains Brewery. I moved to a National Account role at Alliance Disposables where I had a lot of key and national accounts plus anything David Elder and Paul Bonson wanted picking up. I moved to Arc International because a role came up managing their contracts with Compass, Sodexo, Green King, Whitbread, Spirit Group and others. Pelican was about mainly standalone independent operators whereas I wanted the experience of dealing with the very large volumes the largest Groups did whilst working the commercials through the Distributors who had the contracts (King UK, BCS, Lockharts, Alliance, Brakes….etc). I was made redundant by Arc and moved to Mitchell & Cooper where we executed a very successful End User & Dealer strategy selling/promoting Bonzer and other bought-in brands. I have 8 O levels, 4 A levels and a BA Hons from Leeds University.
