The design brief was to update the kitchen to our NOW ALMOST Famous Ecochef standards , Simply making the Kitchen a great place to work , remove heat , improve consistency and provide a sustainable way forward the angel at Hetton .
Sounds Simple enough !
But this is a 15th century inn , And with a difficult building and years of planning and noise issues which was part of journey !
In the early feasibility study we picked up that insufficient power would be available , having to replace the substation at the Angel at Hetton would cost approx. 200k .
So for the very first time , CHR adapted the Kitchen to work on energy optimization to run the kitchen on an existing 120kwh board to manage peak loads , We have included an over view on how this works separately ,
