Sakku Samba the Brazilian and Japanese style restaurant based in the heart of Manchester was opened by one of our key account clients at the end of June in 2022.
After providing an all-inclusive service offering for the Group and also supplying one off replacement items at their other sites, the NCE team were first approached in mid-April with the brief of refurbishing an existing restaurant based in Manchester. This would combine their two concepts of Brazilian and Japanese cuisine.

After constructive meetings with their Operations Manager, Head Sushi Chef, NCE Key Accounts Manager Billy Dyson and Head of Sales Mark Tordoff, the design and specification were agreed. Once agreed Mark Thirkill skillfully estimated the overall project and once submitted the NCE team were awarded the contract to supply and install the kitchen equipment. Despite a very tight timescale and the challenge of a supply chain with availability issues, NCE managed to deliver the project on time and successfully.
Installation was overseen by NCE Projects & Installations Manager Andy Mannion ably assisted by the experienced installation engineer Andy Graham. Despite the challenge of a first floor kitchen and bar and no operational lift, the logistics experience of the NCE team managed to resolve the delivery challenges.
Since opening, the restaurant has become their flagship site and has been a massive hit not only with their clientele but also on social media which has attracted various local celebrities to enjoy the quality food offering. The profile and reputation of the restaurant has succeeded in successfully filling the capacity, catering for over 600 diners a day through the week and weekends.
NCE continue to work hand in hand with the client providing planned preventative and reactive maintenance at their 15 sites. Sourcing and supplying replacement equipment when required as well as helping with the design for upcoming projects.
