The brief was not only met but surpassed; achieved by excellent technical understanding alongside detailed equipment knowledge. The standard of workmanship and level of expertise to install the bespoke equipment to high standards exceeded all client and stakeholder expectations. TAG provided a full ‘turnkey’ solution with a multitude of trades, liaising with the client to make sure all ran efficiently.

The scope, complexity, and high standards the client expected on this project were immense. Additionally, there was absolutely no room for error either in workmanship, equipment specification or the design.

The final result is a fantastic kitchen, that has improved the efficiency and productivity of the chefs, and cleaning and maintenance teams. The finish, design and attention to small detail is exceptional with clever design detailing, that fits exactly the caliber of hotel and restaurant.

The overall ethos of the design was to allow plenty of flexibility to the kitchen so it will last for 25 years plus, avoiding unnecessary changes and associated costs.

The new kitchen at The Sloane Club features the very first DeManincor cook suite in the UK which uses full touchscreen controls. It is equipped with the state-of-the-art Total Control System TSC remote monitoring and power-reducing technology. Enabling the range to run on a reduced amount of power, without exceeding the buildings electrical supply restrictions or affecting the cooking appliances.

The ecological credentials are unsurpassed, running on a fraction of the power of the previous kitchen, all equipment was selected for ecological functions and for easy maintenance.

We estimated significant operational energy and carbon savings at the beginning of the project:

  • An estimated £845k total financial savings over 10 years based on induction, energy management and remote refrigeration systems.
  • An estimated 1,213 kWh saved per day which is the equivalent to the average consumption of 152 homes using 8 kWh of electricity per day!
  • An estimated 97 tonnes of operational CO2 are saved per year. Equivalent to 7.6 cars driving 23,000 miles each (that’s once around the world each!)

We were able to revisit The Sloane Club’s ROI through the use of DeManincor’s TCS system. After reviewing the actual kWh usage on every asset in the kitchens 9 months after completion, we could see that they were expected to save more in money, kWh and CO2e than we expected.
