CNG Foodservice Equipment

CNG’s work for the Inn Collection Group (ICG) at the Ripon Spa Hotel stems from a decade-long relationship, built on trust and reliability. From the start of the project, CNG played a pivotal role in the initial design discussions, taking into consideration the ICG’s vision and specific requirements. Collaborating closely with ICG, CNG tailored a solution to address the project’s unique challenges, particularly the need to create an efficient kitchen within a listed building. With a focus on producing quality food from fresh ingredients, the aim was to optimise workflow, accommodate high customer volumes, and elevate the quality of the food that could be produced for guests.

The project presented significant challenges relating to architectural constraints and ventilation requirements. However, CNG was able to create innovative solutions to mitigate issues like noise and odour emission, and this approach not only helped to ensure compliance, but it also helped to maintain a pleasant environment for nearby residents and businesses.

The kitchen layout has been meticulously planned to optimise workflow and efficiency with ergonomic workstations introduced to minimise staff movement and enhance productivity and comfort. Flexibility is built into the design to accommodate future menu expansions, or operational adjustments, ensuring long-term efficiency.

The design integrates energy-efficient cooking, refrigeration, and lighting solutions to promote sustainability, complementing ICG’s environmental objectives. Beyond the kitchen, CNG’s attention to detail extended to designing curved bars that seamlessly integrated with the hotel’s listed status, whilst enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.

CNG’s proactive approach involved numerous site meetings and detailed project management to address these challenges collaboratively. Effective communication and collaboration with ICG were prioritised throughout the design process, whilst consultations with local planning authorities ensured compliance with preservation guidelines, respecting the building’s heritage.

The equipment selection process involved researching and evaluating various options that balanced performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. A mix of gas and electric equipment was chosen to align with the site’s electrical capacity and operational efficiency. Along with CNG’s careful consideration of budget constraints this ensured a well-equipped kitchen that met ICG’s culinary needs.

Post-installation, rigorous testing and staff training ensured smooth operation. Maintenance plans were established to maintain the kitchen’s functionality and preserve its integral role in the hotel for years to come. The Ripon Spa Hotel project exemplifies how collaboration, innovation, and dedication can transform vision into reality.
