Raffles at The OWO

Project Management Excellence

Vision Commercial Kitchens

The initial brief involved supplying and installing equipment for the nine restaurants and three bars situated within The OWO. During the construction process, elements of important historical significance became apparent and given their historical significance, Vision had to accommodate major alterations to the design.

Deliveries became a challenge due to the scale and location of the project within central London. Vision’s Project Manager undertook frequent site visits to oversee logistics, meticulously coordinating deliveries by scheduling access to loading bays and carefully considering building accessibility. Despite these challenges, we orchestrated operations to ensure timely and efficient completion.

The primary focus of this project was to meet the diverse requirements of the various stakeholders involved. Given the project’s extensive scope and the numerous areas within the building, the needs of contractors continually evolved in response to emerging challenges. It was essential that we maintained diligent site management from day one, ensuring the procurement and installation of equipment to meet stringent standards.

Numerous adjustments to designs and site layouts were made to accommodate the preferences and instructions of different main contractor floor managers. Additionally, as different sections of the building reached completion at varying times, proactive measures were taken to minimise delays throughout the site. Managing and controlling 25 site variations demanded vigilant site management.

With a duration spanning over two years, significant time and effort were dedicated to the project, involving multiple revisions by various stakeholders before final approval.

The inherent historical significance of the building adds a profound story to this project, of which Vision is honored to have been a part of. Despite facing various challenges, the project’s ultimate success not only preserves but also perpetuates the legacy of the building, whilst offering a diverse array of dining options for visitors.
