Due to the smaller size of the kitchen we had to coordinate having fabrication in first. DAR Fabrication were on site for two weeks, manoeuvring all the fabrication into the building, assembling, welding, and polishing before we started the equipment installation, this was due to the size of the room and to avoid getting in each other’s way.

A route at the back part of the kitchen, provided access for M&E contractors, for services and ductwork to go through, so we had to be mindful not to put too much equipment in their way before those works were completed.

There was also a separate pantry area, which was on the opposite side of level 4 that we had to carry out some work on. This was affected by some late changes as they couldn’t get drainage into the existing part of the room, so we worked together to find some solutions and overcame that issue.

It was heavily coordinated with other trades and we were attending regular meetings, leading up to the installation once every fortnight to ensure that each trade was aligned with what everyone was doing.

It is evident from the positive feedback we have received that the customer is happy with the end results.
